Have a Folly Jolly Holiday

As we navigate the last few months of 2020, we’re looking for any reason to celebrate. If you’re planning a trip to Folly this winter be sure to mark your calendar, turn up the holiday tunes, and join us in all the festivities!

Holiday Festival of Lights

James Island County Park

Nov 13-Dec 31, Open nightly 5:30-10:00 pm

The holidays are right around the corner! While the Festival of Lights may look a little different this year (visitors will not be allowed to leave their vehicles except to use designated restrooms) we still love this annual tradition to get us in that holiday spirit.

Fee: $20 per vehicle for up to 15 guests. Tickets may be purchased in advance online or at the gate.

Folly River Park Tree Lighting

Sunday, November 29th at 7 pm

Still feeling that Thanksgiving food coma? This year you don’t even need to leave the comfort of your living room to enjoy the Folly River Park Tree Lighting. The event will be live-streamed and posted for public viewing.

Charleston Music Hall:

Holiday Film Series

Charleston Music Hall is hosting their annual Holiday Film Series with a collection of classics. Grab the popcorn and take a quick trip into downtown Charleston for a movie night with the whole family.

Tickets available for purchase online.

Santa at Folly River Park

Friday, December 11th at 6 pm

Schedule an appointment with socially distanced Santa! There will be elves, stockings, and plenty of holiday joy.

Santa Visits the Neighborhoods

Saturday, December 12th at 12 pm

While we may not have the annual Folly Beach Christmas Parade, Santa will still ride the streets waving to all the families in their neighborhoods. Dress in your most festive attire and keep your eyes peeled for St. Nick!

Folly Beach Flip Flop Drop

Thursday, December 31st

Patrons won’t be flooding the streets this year, but that doesn’t mean we can’t still celebrate! The annual New Year’s Eve Flip Flop Drop will be live-streamed for all to enjoy this uniquely Folly tradition.

The city has no associated road closures for in-person celebrations.

Whether you’re traveling from near or far this holiday season, let our team at Folly’s Best help you plan the perfect getaway. We look forward to celebrating with you!
