“Mansion Ball”

The event will be held at “The Restoration,” one of the city’s top boutique hotels, located just off King Street in the heart of downtown. With a roaring 20’s masquerade theme, The Mansion Ball is anticipated to be the most luxurious ball drop party in town.
Organizers will use the hotel’s four largest penthouse suites and private rooftops to offer guests over 10,000 square feet of entertainment space, several premium open bars and light hors d’oeuvres, creating one truly unique Gatsby-like experience to ring in the new year.
From 9:00 PM until 1:00 AM, guests will enjoy a variety of live bands and djs from multiple genres, including funk, rock, dance, and Top 40 Billboard hits. Headlining acts include, “Funktastic,” a super talented party band that has made a splash from performing countless major events throughout the Southeast while presenting a range of music from the 80’s and 90’s core all the way up to the present.

The USS Yorktown Aircraft Carrier in Mount Pleasant, SC
“6th Annual Yorktown Countdown”

On Sunday, December 31st, 2017, the USS Yorktown Aircraft Carrier in Mount Pleasant, SC will not be occupied with the usual wanderers exploring a decommissioned ship. Instead, it will be transformed into the sixth annual Yorktown Countdown presented by Hooch, Charleston’s largest New Year’s Celebration. This exclusive event will provide multiple admission level options, great live music and magnificent views for the holiday festivities.
From 9:00 PM until 1:00 AM, guests of the event will see live bands and dj’s from all genres imaginable, including funk, rock, dance, and Top 40 Billboard hits. Headlining acts include Charleston’s premier party band, “The Midnight City,” who will be bearing keys, guitars, bass, drums and several amazing vocalists. The 5-piece super group has made a splash by performing countless major events in and around the Southeast and claiming there is no single style of music they can’t perform.
Next up is “The New South Players,” a four-piece band inspired by many legendary Motown groups that combines superb choreography, funky beats and fantastic vocals into one great show. From The Temptations to Marvin Gaye to Kool & the Gang, from dance-ready numbers to slow moving grooves, this group continues to amaze and entertain listeners with a reputation for style and talent that never goes unnoticed. Finally, DJ performances aboard the carrier by “Kevbo” and “Sparkbox,” as well as Clark Keagy on saxophone will offer the highest energy performances through a range of hits from the 80’s and 90’s core to present day mainstream favorites.
-Captain tickets start at $160 per person and give patrons the complete Yorktown Countdown experience offering everything under First Aboard, plus access to the Yorktown’s rooftop flight deck (which will be tented and heated), a top-shelf all-inclusive bar, live music headlining performances, large-screen ball drop, and much more.
