We had a wonderful stay at this charming Folly Beach cottage! True to its description, it is a "Super Cute Updated Oasis" that lives up to its "License to Chill" motto. Location & Amenities - Perfect location, just a short 2-block stroll to the beach via a dedicated path - Nestled on a hill with a completely fenced-in terrace - ideal for privacy and relaxation - Descent Grill available for outdoor cooking and dining Interior - Comfortably accommodates our 5 guests and doggy in 3 bedrooms - 2 updated bathrooms and a modern kitchen - Washer/dryer on-site - super convenient for longer stays - Overall, the house was very comfortable and well-equipped Highlights - The fenced-in terrace was perfect for lounging and grilling and our dog- Beach and local restaurant proximity can't be beat - Updated interiors made for a pleasant, hassle-free stay - Reserved street parking right in front of the property did work out Tips for Future Renters - Consider checking in after 7 during the weekend

Great spot in the heart of folly beach. We were able to walk to every restaurant and the beach was all of 4 or 5 minutes away. I would gladly rent this location again for our next visit back to folly.

cute beach bungalow up on a hill. newly renovated, clean and bright. It's close to town so everything is in walking distance. Our teenage son appreciated the bedroom upstairs with his own television. Our dog enjoyed sunning herself on the patio.

We spent a week at the property and really enjoyed the location- close to everything from bars and restaurants to the beach. The property was nicely renovated and extremely clean- it’s even nicer than the photos, would definitely stay here again!

This was the perfect spot for 4 day vacation at Folly Beach .Clean , neat as a pin.. had everything we couldve asked for . It is an ideal location to walk to all the restaueants , beaches and pier . We biked to the wash out and to our kayak launch site . I definitely stay here again .

I’ve stayed here twice now, the location is great. I park my car when I get to folly and I don’t move it until it’s time to leave. Walkable to any of the restaurants on folly as well as the beach. Still tucked away from the street enough to enjoy sitting on the patio. Such a great spot!

We had a wonderful experience at this beach house. Public access to the beach right next to the property. Perfectly clean with all the needed supplies set up in a bag and extra details with the tissue paper and towels. A Folly’s best employee even stopped by for a warm welcome and offered recommendations and information about the area. Great stay!

We had a great time at Folly Beach and this house was in the perfect spot. Short walk to the beach and to many great restaurants. We walked everywhere! The house is great and just as described and shown in the pics. Very clean! Thanks for a great stay and we plan to come back again.

We stayed in Folly Beach in March. This was our first visit to Folly Beach. You can be busy or relax. Whatever is your preference. Our rental was walkable to most locations. And easy 2 block walk to the beach. Bring beach towels. The home has everything else! There are cement stairs to climb to gain access to the property. Not an issue for us. However, some may need to know that. Home has been recently updated. Cute!

This place was great for our family of 6 along with 2 dogs. The outside was fenced in and we could let our dogs move in and out freely. Incredible location, walkable to the pier/beach and all the shops. We loved it.

House was very clean. I would suggest putting blinds in the upstairs bedroom and also a free standing closet. Front steps are a bit dicey. Overall we had a nice stay.

This house was insanely clean (and I have high standards), the PERFECT location, and one of our favorite places we have stayed on Folly. The outdoor space is so cute and fenced. We will 100% be staying here again. That being said there were a few negatives. The house has a grill but the propane tank was empty on arrival and when I called the rental company they said you have to provide the propane yourself, so you would be filling the tank to basically use once or twice. For as much as you are paying to rent the house, providing propane to me should be a cheap curtesy. that would last a while. The house has reserved parking spots in front. Parking during the week was no problem. However, on the weekend nights, people will just park in the reserved spots. The house could easily hold 2-3 groups of families/couples, but there was hardly ever room for 2-3 cars in front of the house. Since our group had one car it was not a big problem but could have been on the weekend nights when parking on Folly is difficult in general. Lastly, we had out two year old with us. The front door locks automatically when shut, aka no dead bolt on the inside. If I didn't have a wild toddler I would never think anything about this, but we quickly learned that with no way to lock the door from the inside, he would just let himself out CONSTANTLY, so he could not be out of our sight at any time. All of that to say, I would bring something to toddler proof the front door handle. Keep in mind, with those few minor negatives, we LOVED this house and will stay here again. Worth the money.

Fun beach cottage close to everything! The location is great, but it can get a little louder at night from the bars and restaurants. Short walk to the beach, market, and restaurants. There are some steep, uneven steps, leading up to the house that might be tough for accessibility. There is a side entrance that is not as difficult but still has stairs. The house meets the description and is run through a management company. No flexibility to check in early (even 15-30 min) or check out late without paying extra.

Superb location close to everything. Really enjoyed the outdoor space as well as indoor. Perfect for my family of four (me, husband, twin toddlers) and our pup. 2 block walk to the water, 1 block walk to everything in center Folly Beach. We were so sad to check out and can't wait to be back!

This is a cute little cottage. I am picky about cleanliness of a rental, and this exceeded my expectations. The location is so convenient to the beach, the local grocery store, a bike rental place, and all the restaurants and bars in Folly Beach. We only used our car to go to and from Charleston - there was no need to use it once we were in Folly Beach. The front patio area was a great people-watching perch. The kitchen was well appointed for cooking too - it had all the basic equipment you would need to prepare a meal. The stairs from the street to the house would be a liability for anyone with mobility issues, which was not a concern for us, but should be noted. I highly recommend, and would rent again.

We loved this property for us and grown kids, and dog! Close to beach and all restaurants. Kitchen was well equipped, with a huge island…great for playing games on! Nice to have a fenced in area to eat outside, so the dog didn’t have to be tied up.

I can't say enough good things about License to Chill. I've been going to Folly for 10 years and will tell you this is my most favorite place! Close to everything, no need to rent a golf cart as I've done for rentals further down the street. The fact that my daughter could take her dog and the fenced in area was great. Elevated off the road so people walking by didn't have her barking all the time. Open floorplan very well appointed. Close to beach, Bert's and restaurants to walk to.

Licensed to Chill provides all of the comforts necessary to fully experience Folly Beach! You are just steps to the beach and to the main drag with stores and restaurants. Our pup enjoyed his trips to the beach and to the nearby Bark Park, while my husband and I appreciated the closeness to excellent seafood and places to relax. The house is as-described and provided a comfortable place to relax while we visited family in nearby Charleston. Follys Best is super responsive with all communications, and strives to ensure you have a good stay. Definitely recommend!

Our family had a great week At Folly’s Best. The location is fantastic, close to the beach, shops and Bert's Market if you need some groceries. Modern kitchen with everything you need for cooking & lovely modern bathrooms. We really liked the fenced in yard for our kids and small dog too!
