Steele Magnolias on Folly

We had a wonderful stay at this home. Like always the home had everything we could’ve needed, and it was literally right across the street from beach access. It is a little over half a mile walk to center street with restaurants and shopping, but we don’t mind the walking and just enjoying the town. We try to come to Folly beach 2-3 times a year now and have always stayed in a place with Folly’s Best Rentals. Everything is always as pictured, they are quick to respond, and love how CLEAN the places always are. Also very grateful for them being so accommodating and us being able to bring our dog with us too. Already planning our next trip!

This cozy pet friendly cottage was perfect for a long weekend stay. There is plenty of space for 4 people. The kitchen has everything needed if someone wanted to cook. The location was perfect- only 1 block from the beach. It was a 2 minute walk.

This was the perfect location! Just a 30 second walk to the beach and about 5 minute walk to all the shops and restaurants! I would recommend this place to my family and friends. My family and I look forward to booking this place in the best future. Lastly, the price was great! Being so close to the beach and all the nightlife, made this a great find! Thank you for making our stay so effortless.

I absolutely loved my stay! The house is what I look for in Folly Beach, a quirky bungalow, they are my absolute favorite. The house was clean and charming with great personality, the opposite of cookie cutter. There is quick access to the beach and Center St, where restaurants and stores are, is an easy walk. I would definitely stay here again!

We stayed at Steele Magnolias on Folly for a large family wedding the second weekend of October 2022. Hurricane Ian had blown through (second land fall) only the weekend before so weren't sure what to expect but found Folly to be largely in good shape in spite a lot of fallen palm fronds and dune cliffs and Steele Magnolias was no exception. We had two adult couples and a 6 year old and found the house to be perfectly-sized for that group. As other reviewers have mentioned the bathroom is tiny but functional, but certainly don't expect a spacious bathing experience. The living space, kitchenette, and bedrooms were decent-sized and made for comfortable living between 4 adults and one young kid. We weren't spending a ton of time in the home itself but found it to be a great jumping off point to the beach (only 75 yards away) and downtown Folly. We had family staying in an ocean front home down the street which made for easy access from Steele Magnolias as well. This is obviously a property managament-managed Airbnb and we found that to mean the home was nicely cleaned, nice signage and amenities (including trash bags, dish sponge and soap, and spare toilet paper), and a representative even stopped by on our second day with a branded coffee mug (Yeti-knock off, pretty nice) as a gift and to make sure we didn't need anything, which was a surprising but nice touch. As other reviewers have mentioned this is an older home and the deck and exterior are dated but clean. The back yard was pretty damp from all the rain and nothing particularly exciting to look at, but certainly functional and the back deck was private enough if you wanted to use that space. Two covered parking spots was also nice. We didn't have particularly high hopes for the property based on the reviews and the property far exceeded those. You should be aware of the small bathroom and older exterior/decking, but otherwise this is a completely functional, cutely decorated, and well-located home in Folly!

Interior of the unit was in good condition. Exterior is fairly run down. Location is great, maybe 100 yards to the beach entrance & close enough to Center Street without being too close. Listing initially had it listed with a dishwasher which I believe has been corrected, but to be clear there is NO dishwasher.”

This cottage is even better in person than can be represented through the pictures! The hosts have done a wonderful job decorating the space. We loved the great location for beach access and enjoyed great bike rides to both ends of the island. We had everything we needed and enjoyed our stay in Folly very much!

Location is amazing! The beach is just a short walk from the property. Plenty of restaurants to eat around there within walking distance or a 25 min drive to just about anywhere in Charleston. The host team was also very responsive and attentive during our weekend stay. Would stay again in the future.
