The Jolly Folly

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We had 11 girls, with plenty of space for everyone. Amazing house with a beautiful pool and hot tub. We were able to walk to restaurants/ bars and the beach is super close. Would definitely recommend.

Beautiful home less than a block from the beach. Easily access downtown Folly and a short Uber into Charleston. The home itself is fully updated, perfect for a bigger group and plenty of space. Hang out in the pool or enjoy the deck and yard out back. Would definitely book again when traveling to Folly.

Stayed here with 10 other guys for my bachelor party. It was modern. clean, and in a great location. Also there were almost enough beds for everyone. Would recommend!

The place is perfect for groups of big family vacations. The pool is beautiful and the hot tub works great! The controls for the tub and pool were a little tricky to get set up, but once we got that it was all good. VERY easy walk to the beach and good location in relation to the main drag of things in Folly. Drive to Charleston was under 30 minutes too! Loved the rental.

We had a great long weekend in Folly! The pool area is perfect and the sun room is perfect for relaxing. Lots of space and very well maintained. Hope to be back soon!

We enjoyed everything about our brief end-of-summer stay at The Jolly Folly! The proximity to the beach and restaurants/shops was perfect for us. And, the home itself was fun, inviting, and relaxing. We especially loved the pool and spa! Having visited Folly Beach many times over the last 10 years.....this is probably our favorite spot we've stayed in! We look forward to coming back and hopefully enjoying a longer stay!

Stayed here over the weekend and everything was perfect. Plenty of space, beds, bathrooms and showers. The location was less than 5 mins to the beach, and 10 mins to downtown folly. There’s a 24/7 store close by for any needs. Would recommend and stay here again.

We had a great weekend here for a bachelorette celebration. The place was clean, not sandy, and well maintained. Make sure you pack beach towels as there are bath towels but no beach towels on the property. Check-in was easy although when we asked to get in an hour early they told us it would be $100 for early check-in, so we ended up waiting on the screened in porch until 4:00 rather than paying the extra fee. The management was responsive when we needed them. Purchasing beach chairs and any other beach equipment for your stay is extra (beach equipment is not included in the original price). There are a handful of rusty-but-still-functional beach chairs under the stairs at the house that we used for free, but not enough chairs for every guest (writing this in September 2022).

Comfortably fit our group of 9, was a close barely one block to the beach, and the house had anything we could possibly need. The pool table made for lots of fun evenings. Unfortunately although one of the decks is “screened in,” the door doesn’t actually seal/shut all the way so there were lots of mosquitos which made the deck not very useful at night. Check in was a little frustrating and unnecessary in my opinion. Overall had a great time and would definitely come again.

Great location! Close walk to the beach access...no stairs to navigate! Very comfortable beds and linens, well stocked kitchen. Short bike ride or nice walk to Center of town! We would do it again!

Just a block to the beach. Far enough from the pier to avoid the big crowds but close enough for a reasonable walk to the main strip. Owner is a commercial operation so that’s what you’re interfacing with.

5-minute walk to a wonderful beach. House was clean and cool when we needed it. The games, pool table, and amazing kitchen were perfect when people were done with the sun. A big plus is the proximity to town. Walking to restaurants and Bert's market is perfect when it gets really crowded during the weekends. One thing I would love to see there is a large table outside to eat at. We always ate dinner outside and would have loved something where we could all sit at.

The updated kitchen with an island large enough to gather around was a popular spot for our family to spend time. Beaten out only by the large screen porch with fans that helped the breeze cool you off. Short walk to the beach and easy walk to 'downtown' made it the perfect spot. When we did have a problem it was resolved within an hour late on a Sunday afternoon which was a pleasant surprise. We'd definitely stay again any chance we get.

We needed a place for about 12 people we had relatives that lived nearby but we have a lot of friends and relatives traveling from out of state everyone was really happy with the house that was very nicely outfitted. Especially the kitchen had the best supplies of any place I’ve rented and I’ve done a lot of VRBO rentals! The location was perfect we could walk to the beach in a minute walk into town in 15 minutes, it was relatively quiet and enough room and areas for people to hang out in. We enjoyed the property and the area so much we’re talking about making it an annual event. My only recommendation would be to have beach towels available.

We were a group of 10 ladies, and we all loved this house. There is so much room! Everyone had their own bed. There are plenty of bathrooms. The kitchen is huge and has everything you need (two fridges!). The screen-in front porch is basically another living room and was the hub of all the activity. You are a short walk from the beach and a short walk from stores and restaurants. We have already talked about when we can come back.

Stayed 2/12-2/18, 2022 with 7 kids and 4 adults. Bedrooms provided plenty of space for all. House was very clean and well stocked. Everything was in working order and good condition. We missed having a large dining space indoors- but the space on the porch works well in warmer weather. Nice short walk to the beach. Enjoyed our stay!

The house was very clean and the most well equipped kitchen I’ve experienced in a rental. The rooms and beds are very comfortable and spacious. We were there over Christmas and they even had a Christmas tree there. The screened porch was an excellent space for everyone and definitely the back deck with fenced yard for the dogs. We had an issue while there (low battery on smoke detector) and it was taken care of immediately. Would recommend this house for multiple families with dogs.

We all were throughly impressed with the house, especially the large screened-in front porch and the well-equipped kitchen. The proximity to the beach and town were also great. The pool table was a nice surprise, and one that our nephews and brothers took full advantage of. The only disappointment was not having sports or news cable channels, but the wifi worked great for everyone. I highly recommend the Jolly Folly for large family get-togethers.
