Barefoot Bungalow

We absolutely loved our stay at this unique beach house! The best way to describe it is a charming beach cabin with a rustic vibe. The property management team was incredibly responsive and helpful whenever we had questions. Everyone in our group had plenty of personal space, and we all loved the location. Being able to bring our dogs made the trip even more special—we enjoyed early morning beach walks and seashell scavenging, and one person in our group even found a sand dollar! We would definitely book this house again and highly recommend it.

We had a little trouble with the front door, so hopefully that gets repaired. And, it would have been nice to have the place a bit cleaner. However, the atmosphere is just as it should be for a beach house. And, the location, the scenery and the island made it all worth while.
We appreciate the use of your home and we are thankful for the memories. We are hopeful to be back.

Nice beachfront house with a great porch to watch the waves. Had all we needed to have a relaxing time staying in. It's a bit of an older house but it was cozy. Beds were pretty firm but worked.

This is a perfect beach house. The back deck is a wonderful asset - great to watch the waves, rainbows and sunrises. The house has lots of space for gathering indoors - well stocked kitchen and offered everything we needed. Being on the beach is the best!

Only true recommendation would be to have information for out of towners on what to do during turtle season. There was nothing in the home to give the rules at all.

Very nice hosts. The apartment was very well equipped and everything worked well. We were also able to spend time in the garden. Everything was available there as well. There was a beautiful view of the mountains.

All in all the place was great! Right of the beach! The only thing that would make it better would be if the full sized bed was a queen. The kitchen was well equipped. The fact that there was a walk in shower was amazing for my mother in law.

Great location, cute property and very clean. This was a mix of business and pleasure and Barefoot Bungalow was great for both. Parking is a smidge tight for a huge full-size SUV but other than that there were zero hiccups. We are already looking to rebook this house for a future vacation.

Sehr nette Vermieter. Die Wohnung war sehr gut ausgestattet und alles hat gut funktioniert. Wir konnten uns auch im Garten aufhalten. Auch dort war auch alles vorhanden. Es gab einen wunderschönen Ausblick auf die Berge.

The location was ideal. It was right on the ocean and had a beautiful view from the back deck. As well as the living room and two of the bedrooms. The layout of the home was perfect.
It was decorated beautifully. The place was spotless when we arrived. We rented an LSV (street legal Golf Cart ) during our stay, which I highly recommend. We never needed to use our cars during our time there.
Both the management company and the housekeeping, staff were friendly, professional, and had rapid responses to all of our questions. We definitely look forward to another stay at this home.

The house was nice and clean and we loved being able to sit on the porch so close to the water. The only negatives were the a/c unit was so loud ( but better than no a/c at all), and I picked up a good amount of trash below the porch when we arrived. It was as if someone had thrown their solo cups, popsicle wrappers, half eaten bag of sunflower seeds, and cigarettes right off the porch. Sorry, I was not picking up someone else’s cigarette butts. Overall we were happy and would stay there again, if the a/c wasn’t so loud.

We booked this stay kind of last minute and were thrilled this property was available! The view from the living room was priceless! We spent most of the time either sitting on the porch watching the waves or on the beach. My only criticism would be the bathroom. It was a bit dusty/dirty on the top of the toilet and cabinet in there. The shower curtain and rod would benefit from being changed out as well. But, let's be real, when you have that view, the bathroom isn't a big deal. Such a calming and beautiful location. We would definitely stay again!

We had a wonderful stay at their Barefoot bungalow! It was clean and not cluttered. The location was unbeatable. You could almost touch the ocean and the view was incredible from the porch. The couches are a little worn and dirty. Overall we had a wonderful stay and hope to be back.

My family loved the big house right on the beach!!! Tons of space for everyone including a huge dining table and amazing deck overlooking the beach! Edisto is peaceful and private we felt like we owned the whole beach! Seems like the owners are updating and upgrading this older beach home because the rental was clean and had everything we needed while keeping the comfortable charm. Highly recommend for a family vacation!!!

We enjoyed our stay. The home is very cozy and the views every morning waking up are unbeatable. As with most rentals the beds aren’t the most comfortable. Definitely bring a memory foam for the king if possible. (Easy fix)!! We will definitely be back!

Barefoot Bungalow was an excellent beach house. Just recently renovated. Beautiful flooring, clean new pots and pans and plates and cups. The back porch is huge and the thing I loved the most is how close to the water it is. Very nice. I highly recommend this property.

Older beach home which we fully expected and enjoyed. Perfect if you are familiar with the area and character of older homes! Our whole family thoroughly enjoyed it. We had bikes and kayaks delivered and enjoyed those as well as games on the beach.

I have already recommended this property to friends and definitely plan to stay here again. The only negative that I saw (an easy fix) was that the living room furniture needed cleaning. I highly recommend this place!

The location was perfect, the size of the home was great, the views were lovely. The house itself is "tired" and the floors are really uneven, but for kids and and a casual beach vacation it was exactly what we needed. The only slight frustration is that we arrived an hour early and couldn't get in without a $100 fee. It would be nice if there were a window of time that would be acceptable without a fee.
